Version 0.1.4

  • DNSSEC signed zones (also in the control panel now, visual below)
  • Wildcard record support
  • DNS Cookies (RFC 7873). Cheap, standard protection against off-path spoofing and amplification.
    QNAME minimization (RFC 9156). When Heimdall recurses, it now sends only the minimal label to each server, so root and TLD operators never see your full query names. A nice privacy win on the resolver path.
  • More record types: TLSA (DANE for mail), SVCB / HTTPS (RFC 9460), SSHFP, NAPTR, and DNAME — plus RFC 3597 generic (TYPEn \# <hex>), so any record type can be served even if we haven't written a friendly parser for it.
  • Per-record fault tolerance. A single malformed record is logged and skipped; the rest of the zone still loads.
